Xavier Rudd is an Australian singer-songwriter, musician, and multi-instrumentalist known for his distinct one-man band style. Born in 1978 in Torquay, Victoria, Rudd is celebrated for his musical versatility, playing various instruments such as the guitar, didgeridoo, lap steel guitar, harmonica, and percussion. His music often features socially conscious themes focusing on spirituality, humanity, environmentalism, and Indigenous Australian rights.

Rudd debuted with the album “To Let” in 2002, followed by “Solace” in 2004, which significantly raised his profile. His subsequent albums include “Food in the Belly” (2005), “White Moth” (2007), “Dark Shades of Blue” (2008), “Koonyum Sun” (2010), “Spirit Bird” (2012), and “Nanna” (2015), the latter being a collaboration with the United Nations.

Aside from his musical career, Rudd is also a committed environmental and social activist, advocating for Aboriginal Australian rights, sea conservation, and animal rights. He opposes activities like coal seam gas drilling and industrial mining that threaten the environment.
