Spanning 46 years, the Dobell Festival of Art and Craft, hosted by Wangi Lions, draws a diverse range of art and craft from the Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, Hunter, and Central Coast regions. The festival kicks off with a cocktail party on Friday night, welcoming around 180 guests for awards and festivities, followed by a weekend drawing approximately 600 visitors to the exhibition.

Showcasing over 280 pieces, including jewelry, ceramics, and textiles, the festival offers a unique platform for artists and crafters to sell their creations. Importantly, proceeds from sales and entry fees are reinvested in the community, benefiting local schools and charities like Allira House, the Salvation Army’s Bonnells Bay center, and the Westlake’s Netball Club.
