The Matsumura Blues Festival debuts in 2024 featuring Australian and international blues and rock with traditional Japanese and Okinawan music- quite a combination! The launch is at the Prince Bandroom St Kilda on June 1, 2024, followed by weekend in Mildura on 8 & 9 June 2024 at the historic and charming Powerhouse Place on the Mildura Riverfront.

Headlining the Australian segment is 19-Twenty, known for their high-energy, riff-and-groove-infused performances that have electrified the festival circuit. Another Australian highlight is Minnie Marks, who stuns with her exceptional guitar skills, powerful voice, and unique songs, having captivated audiences both in Australia and Europe.

From Japan, Okinawa Americana headlines the international roster, blending traditional Ryukyu Island music with American rock and blues. David Ralston, an expert slide guitarist from Indiana, USA, and Megumi “Merry” Gushi, playing the Sanshin, will transport audiences with their unique musical blend.
