The Northern Beaches Music Festival generally presents a lineup of 50 acts across five stages throughout the weekend. The event takes place at the Tramshed Community Arts Centre and The Berry Reserve, located by the picturesque Narrabeen Lake in the month of November.
Operating since 2011, the Northern Beaches Music Festival offers an eclectic mix of world music spanning multiple genres, including Folk, Blues, Celtic, Roots, Country, Gypsy, African, Middle Eastern, Bluegrass and more.
The festival has three ticketed stages alongside a free stage open to the general public. Amidst a vibrant festival village, you can indulge in a culinary journey with a variety of world food offerings and peruse through merchandise stalls.
Organized by the Northern Beaches Music Alliance, comprising partners such as The Shack, Humph Hall, The Manly Fig, Fairlight Folk, Songs on Stage, and Acoustic Picnic, it is a not-for-profit event dedicated to fostering musical talent and community engagement.
The festival objectives include nurturing emerging artists, establishing and enhancing performance venues, and fostering inclusivity within a diverse community, with special emphasis on engaging individuals with disabilities and indigenous backgrounds across various artistic and cultural endeavors.
‘‘As you walk freely from stage to stage, you can indulge your senses and enjoy family activities and the richness and diversity of music, food and dance from all over the world,” says founding organizer, Paul Robertson.
