Location: Venue 114 in Bokarina, Queensland, sets the stage for this remarkable event. Located on the Sunshine Coast, this venue provides the perfect backdrop for the fusion of high-end fashion and the sculptural world of art.

Features: The Australian Wearable Art Festival offers a unique and immersive experience. Attendees can expect a showcase of over 40 national and international wearable art entries, each carefully curated to entertain, inspire, and captivate. The festival includes three shows: a Friday night show at 7 pm, a Saturday midday matinee, and the Gala event on Saturday evening at 6:30 pm. It’s an opportunity to witness stunning wearable artworks on a 27-meter catwalk, complete with lighting, sound, and professional models. The festival also features a static exhibition of works in Cardinia Art Gallery in Victoria.

Activities: Main activities at the festival include watching the spectacular runway shows, mingling with the artists, and getting up close to the wearable art creations. Attendees can immerse themselves in a world where fashion and art collide, igniting the senses and sparking conversations about the boundaries of creative expression.

Notable past artists include Isabelle Cameron (right), who won Supreme Winner in 2023 with her piece “Dear Babushka,” inspired by her Ukrainian heritage and intersex and Ukrainian pride.
