We regret to inform our followers that just this week we have made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel The F.O.C.K.: Festival of Canoe and Kayak in 2024.
This was a tough call to make – we work very hard to deliver a fantastic celebration of recreational paddling in Australia, however, complications and delays in the planning and approval process have made it impossible for us to achieve that goal this year.
We apologise for any impact that this cancellation has on you. We know that cancelling the festival will be disappointing for many, but we want to avoid the much bigger disappointment of a last minute cancellation, or an event that isn’t up to standard.
Despite this cancellation, we remain committed to the official festival charity. Every year, we make a donation to Eden Canoes, and despite cancelling the event this year, we’re matching the donation amount from 2023. If you’d also like to make a donation to support their work, then please do.
This is not the end of The F.O.C.K.! We plan to return in 2025 – bigger and better of course – and if you’d like to be kept in the loop about the event then please follow us on Facebook or Instagram – @fock.kv , or subscribe to our newsletter here: https://www.thefock.com.au/sign-up

We would like to say a huge thanks to those partners, sponsors and exhibitors who had already committed to the festival in 2024. We are very grateful for their generous support and backing, without whom small community festivals like The F.O.C.K. simply wouldn’t exist.
